Hmm, are all of you forgetting the times set by Audi? It was 1:43:5.. which is about 2seconds faster than the Acura! Dont read into too much! I have heard in an interview by one of the Audi drivers saying they could have gone a little faster. Audi always doesnt show true pace in Qualifying. Acura went for the glory and the early headlines. Acura might be nimble, and look fast, but i dont think they can match the Audi or Puegot. Audi did not use fresh tires for the qualifying, they just used old tiers and saved them for the race, and also, Tom said he was caught in traffic and set the time on the 7th lap, which is not the best time to set a fast lap time after tires has been used!

The Fuel economy of the acura will be the only downfall over the course of the race. I can't help but thing the Audi will have what it takes at the end of the day

6 litres twin turbo diesel engines beaten fair and square by an aspirated 4 litres petrol car. What do the diesel fans say about that?

For sure the ACO will look closely at the aero specs of the Acura to make sure it cannot spoil the diesel party at Le Mans... Audi and Peugeot have invested so much money to get bent rules from the ACO for their marketing/promotional event, they would not want to be humiliated at Le Mans like they have been in the Sebring quali.

Unfortunately, I believe the Acura could keep up with the diesels at the very fast "Circuit des 24 heures"...

Those would be Audi R15's not R10's
