Geddie secures KTM seat

Youngster Glynn Geddie is to move into the Avon Tyres British GT Championship for the 2009 season.

Geddie, who took the Pro-Am 2 spoils in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB in what was only his second season of racing, will also take part in events in the FIA European GT4 Cup and the KTM X-Bow Challenge at the wheel of a KTM X-Bow prepared by ABG Motorsport.

It will mark the first time the distinctive KTM has raced in the British series as ABG expands its interests into the GT4 class, having run the GT3 Dodge Viper of Craig Wilkins and Aaron Scott during 2008.

"I'm really looking forward to working with ABG," Geddie, who tested the car at Brands Hatch and Adria, said.

"I would also like to thank the team for giving me this opportunity for next year as I'm still young and appreciate there's a lot to learn."
