Nicholas Mee Racing has announced the signing of former BTCC racer Anthony Reid for the 2009 season.

The team has already taken delivery of its first Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT4 for the season ahead and has now purchased a second car which is due to be delivered shortly ahead of the new season.

As yet, the team has yet to decide on its exact programme for the season ahead but is likely to compete in a range of series' including the Avon Tyres British GT Championship.

Reid, who will take part in selected events during the year while also helping with car set-up and development, joins Karsten Le Blanc and Christiean Van Lanschot as part of one line-up in the two car team

The second car meanwhile will be driven by Tarek Mahmoud – who will be partnered in selected events by brother Galal.
