Hall: It couldn’t have gone much better

Stuart Hall admitted he was pleased with an almost perfect Easter Weekend for the Rollcentre Racing team at Oulton Park.

The team picked up a double win in the opening rounds of the new Avon Tyres British GT Championship, with Hall and team-mate Dan Brown having secured a pole position apiece for the two hour long races.

The opening race saw Brown build a lead in the early stages which Hall was then able to carry through the finish, while race two saw Hall remain close to Allan Simonsen during his stint before Brown hit the front in the second half and took a comfortable win following a spin for Hector Lester.

It leaves the Mosler duo with a handy championship lead heading into the next round of the season, which will take place at Snetterton after the Donington round was postponed.

“I don't think it could have gone better aside from fastest lap in race one!” Hall told Crash.net. “I hadn't driven for six months prior to this weekend and it was a really good one.

“Dan did a good job and has slotted into the team like he has been there forever. He has a few years of racing an a mature head on his shoulders and we'll try to win as many races as we can.”

With both wins coming with some ease, Hall added that he felt the big strength in the team was in the driver pairing, with Brown proving a good match for pace despite his position as the youngster on the grid at just 17-years-old.

“I think it's down to driver pairings,” he said. “I showed that I was driving the wheels of the car to stay with Allan and has Aaron close behind but Dan is quite quick and quicker than the other second drivers. We have a good pairing and he was a second a lap quicker than his rivals, which is where we can build our lead.”
