Ellison warms-up with quickest time

James Ellison moved to the top of the timesheets for the first time this weekend during warm-up for the fifth round of the ViSK.com British Superbike Championship at Snetterton.

Ellison, who starts second, proved the man to beat for much of the session, emerging three tenths quicker than Michael Rutter, the Suzuki rider revealing good pace ahead of what will be a 20th place grid position.

Pole sitter Leon Camier followed in third, ahead of Glen Richards, Julien Da Costa, Karl Harris and Josh Brookes, while Simon Andrews, Stuart Easton and Ian Lowry completed the top ten positions.

The session was red flagged three minutes from the end after Martin Jessopp crashed at Sear, prompting a track inspection. Atsushi Watanabe had also suffered a similar accident shortly beforehand.
