Croft beckons for Donington stars Hydrex

Following their successful World Superbike jaunt at Donington Park over the weekend, Hydrex Bike Animal will now return to their home circuit of Croft for the latest round of the British Championship.

With James Ellison claiming a superb fourth place finish at world level, the team are hoping for similar fortune in round ten of the British Championship at Croft, which is situated just a few miles from Hydrex Bike Animal's base in Guisborough.

Also a local track for Kendal rider Ellison, he heads to Croft hoping to improve on his current seventh place in the standings after being forced to miss the Cadwell Park races due to an injury sustained in training.

"I like Croft, although the track is a bit bumpy so it's always a compromise with the suspension settings, the bike will be OK in some areas but not in others, but I suppose it's the same for everyone. It's my local track, so the 'Kendal masses' will be coming to support me and the results at Donington WSB have really boosted my confidence, so I'm up for it!"

Team-mate Guy Martin is also in a typically positive mood about his weekend, claiming he enjoys riding the Croft circuit.

"Everything went well at Cadwell and I was happy with my results so I'm aiming to carry on the good results at Croft. It's one of the very few tracks that we visit that doesn't have one of these tight, artificial chicanes and it flows quite well so there's no reason I can't be up there. Where there's a will there's a way."

I rate them both (Guy's not had the results but has had a lot of shoddy luck & let-downs which haven't been of his making).

I think its no co-incidence that James' best results have mostly been achieved when lousy weather's evened out differences in bike performance 'tho.
