Judge, please note that Rutter had to buy his own suzuki for the TT (I think he paid around £30,000 for it) so he clearly wasn't getting paid. Furthermore he wasn't getting paid at NW200 either, so I'm not entirely sure where you are getting this 'wads of cash' from. I think you need to engage more in this 'hobby' of motorcycle racing so you know what you're talking about before making comments that have absolutely no grounds to them.

Snetterton will be a big weekend for Michael Rutter, who is aiming to secure the Worx Suzuki seat vacated by Sylvain Guintoli for the long term.

I've got the utmost faith in Michael, and I strongly believe that he can contend for wins this weekend, not just podiums. If he gets away well he is more than capable of sticking with Camier at the front. Admittedly he will have to show more aggression than he has done in the past, but he has more reason to do so now than he has done in the past.
Get out there and prove you've still got what it takes to run at the front and give your critics reason to rethink their comments.
I'll be there cheering Michael on again this weekend, let's get behind one of the nicest and most gentlemanly riders in the paddock

I thought Rutter raced as a privateer at the TT this year, how would he earn "Wads of cash"?

That's Rutter without a ride then! He's had his chances through his career and failed with all of them really...put someone young on it and give them a chance.

Ben - Rutter would've been paid for the TT as previous winners get appearance and start money...It may not have been 30 grand but it would've made a big dent in the 30 grand he splashed out...so is this your hobby, too?

Some riders do the short circuits to give them extra speed on the road courses - it doesn't normally work the other way so riders are normally slower for a couple of rounds after the TT. Good luck to Michael, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is slightly less competitive for a round or two.

Got to say I think Rutters past it... When he is on it he's untouchable!! take Macau, NW200 and TT results 2000-06 for instance. But what did for me was the pre race interview he gave at the TT, basically saying that he was going to ride at a safe comfortable pace which meant he isn't even going to get a look in for a podium, he did also say that the TT is something special to him and always will be. maybe he is getting a little old now and may hang his boots up in the next couple of seasons if he doesn't get a permanent ride soon.
