I find this a very odd decison.

Rutter a proven top five rider, okay maybe not a championship winner but he has come close a few times and at Mallory who would have bet against him being on the podium at least once?

Tommy Hill, I can not see him doing better job than Rutter. Has he ever bet Rutter? On the other hand it's a big break for Tommy and i wish him the best but I just have never seen him as front runner on superbike.

Tommy Hill will return to British Superbike action by taking over the 'substitute' Worx Crescent Suzuki seat from Michael Rutter at the forthcoming Mallory Park round.

Jason O'Halloran could be out of a ride and Tommy Hill gets a factory ride? Where's the justice in that?!

For the time being Jason still has a ride. Yes, SMT Honda are in trouble, but nothing is certain yet.

Think Tommy will be a better replacement than Rutter , he's certainley due a change of luck , dont think he's of WSBK standard but could certainley challenge for podiums in BSB

I would have kept Rutter on the bike, but there you go.

Worx doesn't have much to lose but Tommy does. He needs to rebuild his reputation and confidence after looking dismal in WSBK and this may do the job. Good luck to the lad.

I guess they've entirely written their season off, with this bike, as there appears to be no attempt at continuity here...maybe the guy who always escapes my attention, the 'Japanese chap,' is doing all the development work and that would account, in part, for his complete lack of pace. Roll on a more lean and nimble GSX-R next season please Mr Suzuki and maybe then the race teams will be able to make more of it !

After the last round, I couldn't see the Worx team wanting to let Rutter ride another round. He has thrown away two front row starts.

Rutter used to be one of the best, but he doesn't look like the same rider anymore.

Shame really...

Devils Advocate: that's why I said COULD be out of a ride...

Got to agree with the comments about Crescent having nothing to lose. Tommy on the other hand, needs to show that he can ride after some poor luck. If Yamaha hadn't resigned Foret and given Hill the ride after some damn good displays a couple of seasons ago, then it could all be a different story.

Oh well, shoulda, woulda, coulda...?

Crescent are probably making the right call here. Rutter simply hasn't shone on the bike (or the NW200 Yamaha, as it happens) and maybe Tommy can. They'll surely be hoping for two bikes in 2010, so why not Sylvain and Tommy? Suzuki are having a lousy season across all the big championships, and their bike looks furhter behind Ducati and Honda than it is ahead of Kawasaki (with Yamaha clearly miles in front, on pure pace at least).

I applauded Althea for giving Tommy this chance after his 2009 woes, but it seems like they never gelled, partly due to the language barrier. Tommy's career might be in trouble if he struggles, but I hoenstly don't think he will.
