Yet another racing Refugee from the godawful DMG catastrophe that AMA racing has become! Neil is a class act! Overshadowed in the US by the Mladin and Spies wars he struggled to show potential there. Then Honda yanked their factory support out from under he and Duhamel, followed by his injuries this year. How can a guy with a world title and a year of MotoGP (albeit on the "career killing" Ducati)experience not find a home back in WSBK? No detraction from BSB but honestly I would think that would be another step backwards.

Best of luck Neil! The true fans in the US will miss you!

With him gone the DMG rats better hope no more stars flee the ship or they will have no show at all!

I hope he does come back, it will certainly be entertaining to see Hodgson v Walker round 2.

"it will certainly be entertaining to see Hodgson v Walker round 2" - what? Battling for 10th place? Both are past it now I'm afraid.

Impressive - someone at Crash is watching the Eurosport 2 coverage as well as me!

I would like to see him back in BSB or WSB - I don't know whether he is past it or not. I can't see their being any rides for him in BSB though - Worx Suzuki have already signed Guintoli and want a (cheap) youngster on the second bike - HM Plant is a bit of a shoe-string effort now and wouldn't be able to afford him - the only bike he would have a chance of winning on is GSE Yamaha - Camier will be off to WSB, but with Shakey Byrne's team likely to fold before this seasons end maybe Shakey will step back into that team in 2010.

Good interview on eurosport and ye i'm sure everyone would love to see him racing 'in the public eye' again so to speak... he's a quality rider and at 35 has another big title in him yet, if he gets the machinery to do it on...

Without a Ducati that has a mechanical advantage over the other manufacturers, & a season full of rain races ... why would anyone want Shakey?
At least Neil can race other bikes & is competitive in the wet & dry.

Another title? Gimme a break. Does anyone really see NH running the kind of pace Camier ran this year. Even with Camier gone a fully fit Guintoli would spank Hodgson all day long.

I agree, it would have to be billed as "Walker v Hodgson 2 - That battle for tenth" on tv.

He's had a good career, won world titles in WSB and GP's, a BSB title and won races in the USA. Time to hang up the lid and get a job on tv or summat.

How funny. Another racer who has passed his sold by date to make the numbers up on the grid in BSB or has he out stayed his welcome the USA ?, or is it that team are not willing to paid with him top doller anymore ?. Who know and who cares.

But to honest i would like to see Chris Walker run him off the tracks for old time sakes.

I agree this is the ideal time for NH to come back. BSB is such a lame championship now, and Camier will almost certainly go to WSB next year, so Neil may actually have a chance of getting in the top 10 occasionally.
As for NH and Walker dicing it out, I assume you mean on Zimmer frames?
