Dear crash.net,i understand the need for advertising etc but is it necessary to put that bloody
"Need for Speed" advert right in the middle of a sentence on every thread ??? It's getting on my t*ts and i wont click on it out of spite for it being there !! I'm sure i'm not the only one that finds it annoying either ! Any chance you can move it to the bottom of the page and out the way ??
Thank you !

BSB » Did Kiyonari disappoint?

Eleventh on the grid and a best race finish of fourth probably wasn’t what Ryuichi Kiyonari was expecting on his return to HM Plant Honda and the British Superbike Championship at Croft.

He disappointed those people who wanted him to beat Brooks - didn't happen.

In a word.......NO.

He has not ridden the track or the bike in two years and got a forth place in the first race from 11th on the grid and ran Brookes (boo) to the line in race 1.
Fair to say the best placing of a replacement rider, apart from Plater at the start of the season.

When you consider what Parkes did on the kwak you have to say Kiyo's results are disappointing. But I wonder how good that team is now. The Hydrex Hondas have been quicker.

Did i read this correctly? That the team made changes to the front end resulting in a lack of rider confidence....

Seem the answer is right there...

Of course he must feel disappointed anytime he comes in 18th, but he did well in race one and everyone knows the guy has talent.

Was pleased for Brookesy getting on the podium too. In spite of what all the haters say he's a good guy and quality racer.

Fair point stavaros, but keep in mind that Broc did it on his wsb kwacker, the same bike and team he's been riding with all year so he was more comfortable on his bike than kiyo. Given the short time kiyo had to get used to the bike i think he did a good job

FWIW neither of the HM Plant bikes are 'full factory bikes'
The bikes are built in Louth with a combination of HRC, team made, bought in and stock parts.

I thought Kiyo did well in the first race especially as he qualified down the field a bit on a track thats difficult to pass on.The second race didn't go to plan but to be fair to Kiyo,Croft aint the best circuit in the country to make a comeback on.It's hard to overtake there and it has more bumps than a field full of camels !!! Good to see him racing in Britain again.
