even before he was injured i don't think he was really impressive. back in 02 when richards was on the kawa i thought he was amazing, taking it to the ducati boys. i think time has dulled his talent a little and a bit of the battler seems to have gone out of him. still really like him as a racer but i just don't think he can challenge for a title.

Can't help but disagree with you McRacing regarding your, 'battler seems to have gone out of him' comment. After all, Glen has won the Superstock and Supersport titles in the last two years which, is an achievement that requires immense bravery. Glen, by his own admittion, started the season tentatively, understanding that BSB machines had changed dramatically in the recent years that he had been away. I believe that GR would've adapted and conquered the new equipment if brake failure at Knockhill hadn't robbed him of the chance. If nothing else he deserves the right to have another similar chance.

Didn't realise it was brake failure that caused Glen's leg brake.

At least twice in a season they have left their riders without brakes?

Something very wrong there surely??

Richard, it is alleged that the mechanic responsible for Glen's bike, re-fitted the front wheel with the brake lines on the wrong side of the carbon mudguard, the brake lines were then damaged during the race by the offending piece of carbon. I seem to remember reading that Xavier admitted to 'brake failure'.

How many times can Honda use the 'no brakes' excuse?

Johny Rea - 2004
Josh Brooks (x2) - 2009
Geln Richards - 2009

I dont buy that. A team as good as honda doesnt make the same mistake 4 times!
