Easton has already signed for Hydrex.

Don't know whether its fair to judge Glen on this season....serious injury thro' no fault of his own cost him a lot of on bike time + the HM Plant bikes haven't been up to much this year either....

There's no doubting the guy's ability...he was superb on the Triumph winning the SS championship last year, and won the Superstock 1000 championship the year before, so he earned another shot on a Superbike, shame it didn't work out.

BSB » Glen Richards back to Supersport?

Glen Richards will not continue with HM Plant Honda in BSB next season and instead switch back to the Supersport class.

Don't know if i would label him a great rider and before the injuries he wasn't riding great on the honda. Saying that i have always liked him since his kawasaki days.

Don't think Richards was a great superbike rider, maybe a good supersport rider. Same with Karl Harris and Cal Crutchlow. Think Cal will struggle next year on the Yamaha. He made lots of mistakes on the HM Plant Honda when he rode it in BSB. Should think Glenn's departure will make way for the return of Hodgson? Don't think we'll get back to the old Hodgson/Walker days though, it would mean seeing Walker in the top 6!!!! Wonder what he'll get for next year? Over-rated!!

But will there be an HM PLant team at all next year?

There's some doubt....might be a shrewd move on his part.

Surely if the do commit to 2010 then Stuart Easton will be their number one target. If they do leave the series then I guess that the Hydrex team will become the factory backed team. Either way, Stuart Easton will be Honda's No.1 rider next season and fully deserved! I knew that Glen would have a poor year and would be back in BSS next year anyway. Not good enough IMO.

HM Plant's lineup always looked weak for this year. Brookes might be work persevering with as he showed speed among the wildness, but Richards was mediocre before his injury. With guys like Sykes, Hill, Andrews, Brogan and Westmoreland all potential options, the likes of Hodgson and Richards needn't be considered.

No doubting his ability, but he never looked comfortable on the superbike this year and admitted he found things had moved on since his kawasaki days. Maybe if he hadn't got injured he may have improved. Must have been a frustrating year for him. Hope he has a good 2010, he's a popular rider.
