Don't understand why any team would want to sign a rider with a LONG record of being an also-ran.

Can someone explain because it baffles me.

"I hope to even throw in the Isle of Man TT race too"...with his record of crashing?

I hope he's kidding, or that the TT organisers refuse his entry for Karl's sake...

Because Karl is an asset to BSB! For starters he is a two times British Supersport champion! There is no doubting Karl's ability on a Superbike, he just needs a bit of luck (for once) and maybe he will stop crashing as much. A lot of the times he is just plain unlucky! Everyone loves a trier and someone that never gives up and just gets back on! Karl is a BIG croud pleaser and he deserves his place on the 2010 grid IMO. Yes, he has his downfall's but Karl just wants to ride a bike. Go Bomber! All the best mate.

The guy crashes too much FACT on a race track which if your going to crash anywhere it's better to crash at a race track cos of it's safe and so on.

As for the TT if he rides and come of which come on people they is a very good chances of that happening I would not like to say wot the out come will be.

He needs to drop back to Supersport as it appears his riding style doesn't get the best out of a Superbike

Gaz, I completly agree. Actually his career results are better than you say as he was 3 times BSS champion (2001, 03 & 04) and the 1999 European superstock champion.

He had a creditable season on the HM Plant Honda in 06, and although the last 2 seasons have not been the best, I hope he finds a team where he can thrive.

Remember it wasn't long ago that few people would have given the time of day to Stuart Easton. He is a good example of what can happen when you find the right team.

Yes SJB, sorry, Karl is a 3 x BSS champion! Doh! Wash my mouth out! :p

I dunno what it is with Karl, he just seems to lose his confidence so easily (not surprised with all his back luck!)and seems to take ages to get back up to speed. It is either that or he only goes well at certain tracks (like Oulton for example). He needs a team built around him with factory support, like he had with the HM Plant team. Just a pity that Kiyo was on fire and was unbeatable! Look at how Kiyo has fallen this year, that is what happens when your confidence goes! No-one deserves a first BSB win more than Karl and there won't be many a eye when it happens! So c'mon Karl, time to start believing!

I know he gets lots of criticism, but i can't help but think BSB would be poorer without him. He's had his fair share of crashes, although not always his fault, but seems to bounce back.
I would love to see him take his maiden win next year. I hope however, he doesn't get an entry for the TT.
