The ducati doesn't have an 'unfair' advantage. Shakey is just riding very well. I dont know if any one watched thruxton but the HM Plant bikes were defo quicker than the ducati in a straight line and it didn't look like the ducati had any more grunt than the 4's out of the slow corners like melbourne hairpin and the esses.

HM plant and the rest of the field just have to up their game rather than go crying to the organisers and ask for a weight penalty.

This years BSB & WSB have lost all the thrill and excitement that they used to be famous for. Last year the 1000cc machines were so closely matched that it made for exciting close racing, This year with the Ducati's running 1200's there may be no real difference with horsepower but the racing has become so predictable.

Phase 1, Shaky makes a bad start and goes backwards for first couple of laps.
Phase 2, Shaky goes through field making other bikes look like they are going backwards and wins.

We all know that Shaky is a truly gifted rider but this is not the problem if it was just Shaky the Ducati works teams would not be so dominant in both BSB & WSB.

The reason the Ducatis are winning in both WSB and BSB is down to the talent of the lead riders. As someone else posted, if the Ducatis were really that dominant, then it would be Ducatis 1,2 and 3.

Troy Bayliss is an amazing rider at the peak of his powers. Lets not forget his MotoGP win at Valencia! :D

In BSB, Shakey is the only Ducati rider consistently at the front. The bike seems to suit his riding style and the closeness of the races shows that the Japanese bikes are competitive. Shakey just has more will to win than the other guys.

It's not as if the Ducati gets to the front and then wins every race by 10 seconds. There's plenty of close racing and it's fantastic! :)

Cougar Lemoncamp - It might be a surprise to you, but Mr Right was right regarding the speeds on the straights - Shakey's bike was slower than the HM Plant bikes at Oulton and Thruxton.

In the mid 90's I can recall Cadbury boost yamaha's winning races by miles. Niall Mac winning by +10sec was not unusual. But I don't remember any cries of 'foul' or 'unfair'. Mac and Whit/Hizzy dominated for a couple of seasons, with no other team gettig a look in. Now we have potential race winners on dukes, hondas, suzukis and even yamaha's, with racers being split small margins, and plenty of overtaking, so what's everybody's beef with Shakey and GSE. They've always brought out the best in riders. May the best team win, and if it's GSE, then so be it

Doesn't surprise me at all....on short circiuts a couple of mph top end is useless, it's all about grunt... with a name like anorak you'd think you're comments would be better informed.... Shakey is good no doubt, but will never be great as long as his 4rse is pointing downwards...The Duc makes things far to easy , on the HM plant honda Shakey would 3rd, 4th or 5th at best just going off previous performances...dream on believers BSB is a joke and WSBK, well the best race of the season didn't include TB...ps it's nothing to do with the riders it's the bikes......
