Walker let a load slip on the WSB site the other day. Haslam to Stiggy, he said Cal was to Supersport, and he hinted he was on his way back to BSB. I love the bloke, would be good to see him on a competitive ride - and even better to see him actually do something with it.

If both Shakey AND Leon Haslam land a ride in WSBK aswell that will be 5 Brits in WSBK
next year! WooHOO!

(I predict Shakey going to Sterilgarda Ducati and Haslam as has been reported to Stiggy Honda)

OoooH! Ben Spies to ride alongside Tom Sykes at Belgarda Yamaha anyone?
They seem keen to land a race winner and are looking into budgets to secure him apparently. :p

Buelliful - I read that this morning in MCN. The rumour is WSB in 2009 then take over Colin Edwards seat in MotoGP in 2010, however I wonder if the journos are making a mistake - he may be signed to Yamaha for 2009, but to stay in AMA. I beleive Yamaha are the only Japanese manufacturer who are not boycotting the new DMG owned AMA series. If that is the case he would be effectively racing against himself in AMA - marking time and keeping race fit ready to move into MotoGP in 12 months. I can't see the point of putting him in WSB for a year - the guy has already proved he can beat Capirossi, Vermeulen and half the field in MotoGP plus he costs as much as Corser and Nori added together!

You may have something there Sick Cylinder. Certainly Yamaha has upped their presence in
BSB for next year already! It would make sense to have a big bang Yamaha do well in the AMA (a big market for Yamaha)

The WSBK thing could be a good thing for Ben as he would gain knowledge of some MotoGP tracks AND more importantly get himself seen on the WORLD stage in a tough series where there is lot's of competition. I hope he choses the latter option myself. It would be nice to see him do things at world level.

Sorry guys but I must agree with Gemma there are better riders than Haslam and his Dad's reputation has done him noooooooo harm at all. Haslam has improved over the last 3 meetings but consistency is what makes great riders and he hasn't shown alot of that this season.
There is much to ride for at Silverstone and Brands and I for one will be shouting for the Rizla Suzuki man myself who outshines them all.
:)
Love ya Tom

TSF, if you go by the Championship table then you're right, Shakey is better than Haslam and ... oh wait, Haslam is 2nd so it's only Shakey that's better than him!

The guy had a torrid first half of the season trying to learn his way round a completely new bike and a different engine configuration. He also over-rode most of the first half trying to keep himself up there. Now he's gelled with the machine he's doing a sterling job and has put himself 2nd in the championship, that in itself deserves some credit!
