Oh what joy.
We were promised a ''major'' event to rival and replace the ''happening'' that has traditionally been the Brands August WSB event.
A re-incarnation of the Transatlantic races perhaps?
Now we know - a re-scheduled BSB round.
YAWN :-o
JP - you are such a muppet. :?

You won't be seening me there, thats for sure!!. The British wsb fans have been well and truely stitch with this crazy stunt. Its over to mainland europe for me next year. The state of the racing in this country next year will be summed up by the state of the country "In recession"

Spot on Chris. No doubt BSB ticket prices will continue upwards for a championship that has lost all the class riders and is shaping up to be very second rate.
I'm with you in planning a series of mini breaks to Europe and giving BSB a miss altogether.

The Brands situation is nothing less than a total let-down just as the championship's on an upward swing and with five Brits in the top class. Since I can't make Donington this time, I'll be off to Portimao for my WSB fix in 2009.

As for BSB, I don't think there's anything to worry about really. We saw a lot of new faces in 2007 in BSB - and now they've all graduated onwards and upwards. I'd have liked to have seen a couple more like James Westmoreland come up from BSS to BSB, but I think we'll be fine.

Yup the first poster has it bang to rights. I can't believe this is the "major event" JP talked about.

But then again, did any of us really expect him to pull something like the Transatlantic trophy out the bag in the time he had left to organise it?

Given the economic downturn though, maybe he has boxed clever to keep MSV in business for next year. Its bad timing with his previous statement but he may just have saved the MSV circuits from bankrupcy.

I think you will find rather less people attending race meetings next year...
