Camier surges ahead in FP3

Leon Camier broke Simon Andrews run at the top of the ViSK.com British Superbike Championship timesheets at Snetterton by claiming the fastest lap in final free practice.

Camier and Andrews disputed the top spot in the latter stages after the Kawasaki rider sneaked ahead with less than ten minutes remaining.

However, the championship leader would promptly displace him with a lap time that would leave him some three tenths quicker than his closest competition, that being Michael Rutter after the Suzuki rider put in a fine last gasp effort at the chequered flag to edge out Andrews.

Hondas filled the next three positions, Karl Harris leading Glen Richards and early pace setter Josh Brookes, while James Ellison on the second Airwaves Yamaha continued his slow trajectory up the leaderboard in seventh place.

The remainder of the leading positions were filled by Stuart Easton, Ian Lowry and Chris Walker.
