Surtees joins Carlin for season finale
Henry Surtees will graduate to the British Formula 3 Championship for the final round of the season at Donington Park after deciding to rejoin Carlin Motorsport.

Surtees finished 12th overall in his first year of Formula Renault UK racing, the son of former Formula 1 Champion John Surtees having stepped up from the Formula BMW UK Championship where he competed with Carlin.

Racing a Manor Motorsport prepared machine to a best of third place at Silverstone, Surtees will rejoin Carlin to compete in the National Class in place of Andy Meyrick, this season's initial pace setter choosing to concentrate on 2009 after curtailing his year early following a debilitating illness.

With Icelandic racer Kristian Einar not racing either, Surtees will be joined on the grid by Adriano Buzaid, who has tested for Carlin in recent weeks. The Brazilian driver finished third in the Formula Renault UK standings with five wins to his name.
