Hexis reveals GT1 plans

Hexis Racing AMR has announced that it plans to contest the new FIA GT1 World Championship in 2010.

The team, which has previously run in the FIA GT3 European Championship and has taken in selected events in the FIA GT Championship this season, will look to maintain its relationship with Aston Martin into the new series having enjoyed success with both the DBRS9 and the V8 Vantage.

While Aston Martin Racing had no plans to build a car to the new-for-2010 rules, interest from potential entrants has led to the company looking into the possibility of adapting the current DBR9 to fit the regulations.

Ford, Nissan and Lamborghini will be represented on the grid next season – the latter unveiling its car this weekend at Spa.
