Garcia rejoins CRS for Zolder finale

Antonio Garcia rejoins CRS Racing for the 2009 FIA GT season finale at Zolder
CRS Racing has confirmed that Antonio Garcia will rejoin the team for the final round of the FIA GT Championship season next weekend at Zolder.

The Spaniard will team up with Tim Mullen at the wheel of the #55 Ferrari 430 due to business commitments for team boss Chris Niarchos, which will rule him out of the final round of the campaign.

Team director Andrew Kirkaldy and Rob Bell will again be at the wheel of the #56 car as the team looks to try and overhaul Prospeed Competition for second place in the GT2 teams' standings.

“Antonio was quick for us at Spa and he knows the car well,” Kirkaldy said. “He and Tim will make a strong pairing which will give us the chance to score maximum points this weekend.

“Zolder was a good track for us last year. We were quick in testing and after taking pole position we were looking forward to having a good race. Unfortunately we were taken out at the first corner so we never got the result we wanted. It's so hard to say how this weekend will go; we've had a difficult season but we are staying positive and hoping for a happy ending to 2009.”
