Buckler pleased with 'incredible' campaign

Kevin Buckler has admitted he can't wait for the start of the 2009 Grand Am Rolex Series season after an 'incredible' campaign for his TRG outfit in 2008.

The team took on its most ambitious programme to date this season, fielding as many as seven cars during the course of the campaign. Indeed, Mexico City was the only event where the team fielded fewer than three cars throughout the year.

Over the course of the season, the team finished inside the top five on 14 occasions an d inside the top ten an astonishing 25 times. The team also concluded the year with a win at New Jersey for Andy Lally and Tim George Jr, making them the first Rolex Series GT outfit to win at the new venue.

George Jr. also claimed both the MESCO Building for the Future Rookie of the Year Award and the Bob Akin Award for the top sportsman driver in the GT class.

"What an incredible year," Buckler said. "This was the largest and most comprehensive program we've ever run in the Rolex Series and we were able to have a strong and smooth season thanks to an outstanding effort by everybody on the team.

“I'm so proud of everything we accomplished this season, and I can't wait to get back after it at Daytona."
