David Brabham and Darren Turner were among the big name drivers to be honoured at the annual British Racing Drivers Club awards at Silverstone, as the pair picked up the Woolf Barnato Trophy in recognition of their performance at Le Mans.
The duo finished ninth overall, and third in GT1, at the famous 24 hour race back in June, with WRC driver Stephane Sarrazin sharing driving duties in the #59 Aston Martin DBR9.
It was a result good enough to see Brabham and Turner finish the race as the highest place British drivers in a British car at La Sarthe and Brabham said he was proud to have achieved the feat.
"Anyone who goes to Le Mans and knows the event, knows it is one of the most special out there, and to go in an Aston Martin just adds that little flavour to it," he said on receiving the award. "Darren and I have teamed up before in the past and won and we won a few races this year as well so to go to Le Mans and represent Aston Martin was a real honour.
"We were very close to being on top of the podium, but unfortunately it wasn't to be. With two hours to go there were four cars still fighting for the lead and we had a radiator problem to fix. Darren did a great job and we'll see what happens next year."
