The AMR Larbre team has confirmed that it
will be present at the season-ending Le Mans Series round at Interlagos, although it will field just one car instead of its regular two.
The French team cites the late decision by series organisers to include the Mil Milhas race on the schedule - an option taken just days before season entries closed - as the cause of the delay in confirming its participation, with both economic and logistical issues to overcome. With contracts and budgets having largely been agreed in the middle of the previous season, the late addition has already seen several LMS regulars questioning their ability to make the trip to Brazil.
However, Larbre Competition has called on its experience, contacts and relationships to ensure that it will be present, even with a reduced contingent, to fulfil the ACO's requirements. The lone Mil Milhas entry will see LMS regulars Gregor Fisken and Steve Zacchia joined by local driver Fernando Rees and Frenchman Roland Berville, the latter rejoining the line-up after partnering Fisken at the Le Mans 24 Hours in June.
Larbre's second Aston Martin DBR9, usually driven by Christophe Bouchut, Fabrizio Gollin and Gabriele Gardel, will not take part.
