Le Mans winner confirmed for Goodwood

The Peugeot 908 HDI as driven by David Brabham, Marc Gene and Alex Wurz has been confirmed as one of the star attractions for the Goodwood Festival of Speed next month.

The #9 entry, which headed a Peugeot 1-2 at La Sarthe, will be on show in the paddock at the event and will also tackle the famed Goodwood Hill – at 1.16 miles, considerably shorter than the 3284.85 miles the car had to complete to secure Le Mans honours.

Brabham, Gene and Wurz will all be reunited with the car at the event, while Nicolas Minassian – who posted the quickest lap at Le Mans at the wheel of the sister #7 car – will also be in attendance.

As well as the successful Le Mans winner, Peugeot will also be represented at Goodwood by the Peugeot 207 S2000 that has carried Kris Meeke to the lead in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge.

The 207 will appear on both the Goodwood Hill and the rally stage in support of the Richard Burns Foundation.
