Changes made to 2008 GP calendar

The calendar still contains 15 rounds, but the new Romanian event has been withdrawn while Faenza - brought in as a 'one-off' replacement for South Africa this season - will again return as a second Italian round.

Other amendments include the British Grand Prix surprisingly being moved from Donington Park, its 2007 venue and planned 2008 location, to Foxhills - which hosted spectator-packed British GPs during the 1990s.

A further surprise is a new Republic of Ireland Grand Prix to be held in Dublin - which appears to have come at the expense of the Japanese Grand Prix, considered one of the most significant of the season due to the home manufacturers - but now no longer on the calendar.
