Stewart dominates Paris-Bercy Supercross

James Stewart has been crowned the 2008 King of Bercy after a perfect performance during all three nights of the Paris-Bercy Supercross.

The reigning AMA Motocross champion, and former AMA Supercross title winner, won all his races on his debut at the 26th edition of the famous French event, which marked only his second competitive appearance as a Yamaha rider.

"Before I came here I knew that the crowd was one of the best, but it was even more than what I expected," said James on the podium. "The atmosphere is incredible, I want to thank them for their enthusiasm and I hope I will be back next year. I'm happy to be here, it was a good weekend for me and each race was important for me to learn about my Yamaha. We did a great job here, for sure."

Each night featured two main events and Stewart was also undefeated in the 'match' races, which saw a one-on-one battle for supremacy.

Justin Brayton (KTM) finished runner-up to Stewart in the King of Bercy contest, with AMA veteran Kevin Windham (Honda) completing an all-American top three.

AMA Supercross race winner, David Vuillemin, now riding for Kawasaki, was the leading home rider in fourth position.
