Reed showed that he has no class. Ashamed to say that I was a Reed fan for all these years. Sorry Reed but there is a different between a hard pass fighting for position and a dessperation take move. It's sad to see him go to that level. He rode smart all year, and then in the last few rounds became his usual head case.

I don't know if that was his plan from the start, but seeing how tight stewart was riding I think he would have been far better off staying behind JS and trying to pressure him into bigger mistakes than he was already making. That stupid takeout only seemed to make James regain his composure and from that point Reed had no hope. The best man won the title

Yup, the crowd goes nuts when one rider runs into another rider. Pretty much text book. I doubt the crowd was pulling for Reed. They were just excited about the possible outcome of the race...

btw: Who cares if Reed is Australian or not. He's an arrogant, complaining b*itch. And he lost... again.

@Ron - It is all about perspectiive. Bubba was crying that Reed is a dirty racer. They are both a couple of complainers. I like Bubba but after his teammate tried to interfere with Chad at the prior race he seemed a bit undone by the negative press. A bit like Hamilton during Liegate.

It was a great season. Without Reed taking it to Stewart it would have been boring to watch.

Chad Reed never took it to Stewart. The closeness of the points is a results of James handing him those points on a silver platter. It's so weird that when Chad gets his points that way, it's called consistency and when Nicky Hayden won the WC through consistency he is touted as basically inept, can't ride, etc...Weird standard, double standard, plain dumb.

@ Dray - Chad was the only rider out there who was able to put any pressure on Stewart. No doubt that Stewart is faster but Chad does seem to be one of the few that can pressure Stewart into making errors.

I hope that they both end up racing the outdoor series. If they do, I may have to go to the Hangtown race.
