AMA Motocross Championship leader Mike Alessi has undergone knee surgery, just days after a perfect 1-1 sweep of round three at Freestone County Raceway in Wortham, Texas.

First Ryan Villopoto got hurt and now Alessi. Maybe now Reed actually has a chance to win the title.

Bummer for Alessi. He was riding so strong this year. I like the outdoor MX much more than SX

Five use to show the AMA motocross championship a couple of years back, shame they don't anymore as it was always good to watch. They've got some gnarly tracks in America.
