Max Nagl wrapped up his second overall MX1 win of the 2009 Motocross season in Sweden on Sunday, courtesy of 1-2 race finishes.

The KTM rider won race one by a massive 18 seconds from Suzuki's Ken de Dycker, while world championship leader Antonio Cairoli fight back to fourth after getting boxed in at the start.

The Italian had a more hassle free second moto, which he won by just under three seconds from Nagl. The Red Bull Yamaha rider is now 53 points in front of nagl in the championship standings.

Third overall was de Dycker, who claimed fourth in race two, while 5-3 results for reigning champion David Philippaerts wasn't good enough to appear on the end of day rostrum.

LS Motors Honda's Clement Desalle made up for a disastrous qualifying race yesterday - he finished 21st after hitting the fallen Aigar Leok - and took fifth overall. The Belgian was unable to match his third place in moto one in the final heat, where he cruised in fifth. Nevertheless Desalle has now moved up to fourth in the championship.

Legal drama in the MX2 class meant that world championship leader Marvin Musquin, who had switched from NGS Honda to Red Bull KTM mid-season, was not allowed to take ride on Sunday due to 'issues related to his recent switch of manufacturer'.

In his absence, team-mate Rui Goncalves took his fourth victory of the season with 2-1 race finishes, having been beaten by young star Ken Roczen in moto one. That was Roczen's first moto victory, but seventh in race two left the Suzuki rider second overall.

Third overall went to early season title leader Gautier Paulin, who crashed on his way to seventh in moto one before a solid second behind Goncalves in moto two. The Kawasaki rider is now just 13 points behind Musquin in the championship and Musquin cannot afford to miss another race.
