British hopes are high for Sepang |
Chaz Davies was encouraged by his second ride on the Pramac D'Antin Ducati; however he suffered mechanical problems which forced him to retire.
"I really like Sepang and can't wait to get there to ride a MotoGP machine," said Davies. "It was so disappointing to retire in Australia but I was pleased with the race up till then and look forward to a points scoring ride."
Bradley Smith is determined to put the Australian disappointments behind him, "I missed Malaysia last year and so I start on a level playing field on Friday morning which will be just what we need after my disappointments in Australia."
Crashing was never part of Danny Webb's plans for Phillip Island but he had a good run before that happened. "Despite crashing in Australia I was really happy with my performance up till then. I was having some great dices with good riders and I hope I can do the same in Malaysia," commented Webb.
Eugene Laverty makes his Malaysia debut but at least comes off the back of a good race in Australia on the 250 LCR Honda. "Things went so much better on race day in Australia I just hope we can continue in Malaysia. It's another new track but I go there with a bit of confidence," said the Ulsterman.
For riders who haven't visited the Malaysian circuit before, this weekend will be a real test for their stamina due to the heat and humidity.
