• The rider with the most premier-class victories is Giacomo Agostini, who scored 68 wins between 1965 and 1976.

• Agostini also holds the record of 20 successive premier-class victories in the 1968 and 1969 seasons.

• 46 riders have scored just 1 victory in the premier-class.

• 2 of these 46 riders have won on their only point-scoring finish in the premier-class: Phil Carpenter and Edmund Czihak.

• Alex Barros is the rider with the longest wining career in the premier-class. 11 years and 6 months separated his first victory at Jarama in 1993 and his final victory at Portugal in 2005..

• Mick Doohan has won in the premier-class at 24 different circuits - more than any other rider.

• Doohan's 12 victories in 1997 is the most wins achieved in the premier-class in a single season.

• Italy has been the most successful nation with 201 premier-class victories.

• The United Kingdom has had 25 different riders win in the premier-class - more than any other nation.

• The youngest winner in the premier-class is Freddie Spencer who was just 20 years and 196 days old when he won the Belgium GP in 1982.

• The oldest rider to win in the premier-class is Fergus Anderson who was 44 years and 237 days old when he won the Spanish GP in 1953.

• 4 riders have won on machinery from 3 different manufacturers – Mike Hailwood (Norton, MV Agusta, Honda), Loris Capirossi (Yamaha, Honda, Ducati), Eddie Lawson (Yamaha, Honda, Cagiva) and Randy Mamola (Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda).
