2008 125cc world champion Mike di Meglio and his predecessor Gabor Talmacsi both made their debut on 250cc machinery during testing at Valencia on Monday.
Talmacsi, third in the 2008 125cc standings, remains within the Aspar team 'family', although he will be riding a Hungarian-backed Aprilia (pictured), while di Meglio - who clinched his debut world title for Derbi - joins Alvaro Bautista in Aspar's official team.
Bautista was fastest of all on Monday, lapping over a second quicker than Talmacsi and di Meglio - the Frenchman emerging unharmed from a fall.
