I'm looking forward to the next race at Assen in Holland where I was leading by over three seconds last year when it started to rain. I crashed, the race was stopped and in the crazy five laps re-run I finished fifth. I loved the first part but not the second and so some Barcelona sunshine in Assen please.
The rain seems to follow me around and I saw no actual racing on my visit to the TT races in the Isle of Man because of the weather. Despite that I really enjoyed the trip round the circuit. It was awesome and how do those riders learn every corner and bump around a 37 mile circuit and race for around one and a half hours. We have to learn a track a maximum of three and half miles and race for 45 minutes. I have enormous respect for those TT riders and it was such a shame I didn't see them actually take on the circuit.
This weekend I'm off the
Formula One Grand Prix in
Silverstone after
Bernie Ecclestone sent me some passes. I'm really excited because I've never been to an actual race and only a test. I'm taking my Mum which will be great for her especially as she's going to Royal Ascot earlier in the week. It's a very small present for looking after us all and putting up with me and my Dad during the grand prix season.
Finally what about the
MotoGP race in Barcelona and
Valentino Rossi? How did he pass
Jorge Lorenzo at that last corner? I was certain Lorenzo was going to win but Rossi showed just what a magical rider he is. When he finally retires we will look back on those jaw dropping moments for ever.
