This sounds sensational!! a fast flowing track with minimal chicanes and a lot of potential for drafting will have closer racing (over a given time frame) than a "stop go" circuit.
Phillip Island has shown many times that with very high average speeds, slightly slower bikes with good riders can be "towed" around much of the track, keeping a bunch of riders together. Great for the riders, great for the spectaters.

Now if we can do something about the Sachsanring...

'Old' Hockenhiem has been dug up. Cultural vandalism at its worst...

The Ring (Nuerburgring Nordschleife) would be fantastic but you'e never get it homologated. No room for runoff areas. Sadly because it's a great track with lots of history. :)

Have to agree with "The Morgue", there's no way they'd be able to race at the "ring", but didn't they build a smaller more modern (ie shorter) version near the old one?
Does anyone know about this track?

Monster, I fully agree with you that Phillip Island produces very good racing by letting slower bikes getting towed around. But I think the reason is more of the fact that Phillip Island allows many different racing lines, rather than the high average speed. Compare with Monza and Brno.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Spa. Unsure what the safety is like for bikes at the mo.

Must admit I'm coming around to this Silverstone stuff, will reserve full judgement for the real thing though. Just hope the fans are properly catered for.
