It should go to Brands Hatch, the slot vacated by WSB could be used for MotoGP, I'm sure the BSB guys would'nt be too disappointed if they got ousted for this year.
One year only, sure its not the safest circuit in the world but air fences all round could sort that.
Go on Jonathan, give Espaleta a bell.

Is anybody surprised?

Now's the chance for Brands to step up, do the right thing and get the WSB round back there. Or are both parties still to arrogant to talk to each other?

As for the GP....if Dorna have anything to do with it it'll probably be run in Spain!

Oops thats a bit of a blunder.

Would be great if MotoGP went to Brands but I can t see it happening, I don t think it s up to safety spec and I believe they already have problems with noise restrictions limiting track time.

Knockhill gets my vote lol.

No way should MotoGP go to Branss. Dorna would request changes that would ruin the circuit.

I am not surprised by this at all. Went to Donington 3 weeks ago and due to works in progress for the "New F1 Track" there is NO infield viewing area available for spectators and I could not see any prospect of it being ready in time for the British round of Moto GP. So if the usual size crowd turn up not many will get in and even fewer wil see anything. :?
And please leave Brands Hatch as it is, a fun and exciting track.

What kind of rent agreement is it that charges 2.4 million during the months when there is no income from racing? Still, this whole sorry episode just further confirms that Simon Gillett is not a fit person to be in charge of the place.

QUOTE 'farmer giles': "Knockhill gets my vote lol."

Haha, mine too. Remember Niall Mackenzie running his Valvoline ROC Yamaha 500cc round there, circa '93/'94? Boy was it fast.

...but yeah, a 50-odd lapper at Knockhill sounds like the biz.

Is Brands even long enough to hold a MotoGP race?

Don't get me wrong I only live an hour away so I would love it to be there, but I just cannot see it happening as I think it would need extending. I think they had to do that at Donington and subsequently created the Melbourne loop.
