Keep the spirit up, Marco!

Good to read that it wasn't as bad as it looked.

@Pixel

Don't forget this guy is a tough cookie.

He's been on the podium before with bruised ribs and ankles... So don't worry. If the Kawa will let him, he will be racing up towards the front three next saturday.

Melandri has always been a poor qualifier. He's one of the best racers though. So give him some guys in front of him to aim at and he will fight his way forward...

If only the Kawa would be more in balance...

:)

Rain is expected in Assen during the race(as always). Around 75% chance.. Sounds to me like the ideal circumstances for Marco.

Hopefully it will be a real wet race this time though. Not with the whole bikechanging act. I'm getting pretty tired of those.

Whatever happens to Team Hayate and MM for the rest of the season - and we can only assume that with no development in the bike the best results for both team and rider are behind them - it is a reminder that Melandri is not the donkey many portrayed him to be during his struggles with Ducati. At his best this guy can run right at the front every week and he is still young enough to do that. I do wonder what his ambition is though. Will he stay in Motogp ? Whatever, he has proved beyond doubt he is a fast, tough racer.

as i see it Marco has a good Chance to find a good ride in MotoGP next year.
Suzuki will have a open spot with Vermulen leaving.
Honda Gresini will probably change both.
Yamaha Tec3 will be stupid not to drop JT.
and maybe Kawasaki will return with full factory suit.
