I must say I am increasingly impressed with Randy, he has clearly found the way to stop crashing and the second season in the same team is paying off.
He was clever to sign a two year deal at LCR because it has brought him the stability he needs. I hope he will still be in the class next year, he deserves it riding like this. :)

MOTOGP » de Puniet hit twice, finishes top Honda

Randy de Puniet, who only finished four of the first seven races last season, kept his perfect 2009 finishing record intact despite some tough moves during round seven of the championship at Assen on Saturday.

What's this "top Honda" nonsense journalists are always whittering on about? What about "top Ducati" or "top Suzuki"?
Is it just an excuse to mention Honda even though, yet again, they were nowhere?

Crash.net: It was the first time this year that a satellite Honda rider has finished as the top Honda in a race.

No, it's just a way of acknowledging Randys achievement. Being the top Honda rider is pretty good.

So, what about Stoner's result... TOP DUCATI. Is that not good?

Today,

The article is about de Puniet... he's an underdog. His bike isn't as good as the other Hondas and he happened to be the first Honda across the line. That makes sense doesn't it?

They don't typically say "top this or that" when a racer is consistently on the podium like Stoner. It isn't a slight against Stoner, is just how the stories are communicated.

Did you just finish reading/posting on the Stoner thread? If so, try to keep your frustration there and not here.

Thanks.

Capirossi was screwed by elias and randy took advantage.
His claim that capi made a mistake at the final chicane is bogus. Oh and elias truly believes he did nothing wrong
