Wow, just when you thought everyone knew what they were talking about you read posts like this. Unless your initials are CS the Desmo is un-rideable. Plain and simple, NO one has gotten to grips with the bike. Now Nicky Hayden sucks? LOL, yes he had a lucky championship in '06, but it doesnt mean he is a sh*t rider. You dont make it MotoGP if you are a bad rider, let alone win races, and score podiums. Lets be serious. Look at Marco, he is on an undeveloped bike and he is doing better this year then last. The Desmo is a curse unless your are an Aussie! As for Shakey, he is dead weight in MotoGP, he is barely a blip in WSBK, and I am willing to bet the 1098 is easier to ride.

Even when he's not fighting for the MotoGP championship, Kenny is a "world-class human being."

15th, 12th, 12th, 10th and 8th, that's a great progression for Nicky. I'm really pulling for him and hope he makes it back to the top 5.

I think that he could do really well this weekend as long as he qualifys good. If not then i do think he will be mid-pack again. His scores are going up so i can't see why he won't be able to get in the top 6 this week. He is strong here...
Come on Nicky!!

A lot has been said about Stoner's handling of the bike and the mystery of his speed on it. In Assen I looked at his front end coming out of corners - his front was consistently off the ground and appeared out of shape compared to the Yamaha and even the other Ducati's. Stoner has also commented in the past that he often feels like he "loses" the front and Canepa said according to data Stoner brakes later and accelerates sooner.
This all makes me wonder whether Stoner's weight bias is not heavily towards the rear and that this works for the bike, but is just not an acceptable "feel" for other riders. :?

Hayden is, as usual, wisely preemptively keeping expectations "low" or rather realistic. Besides he already pulled a few miracles already. Basically "the champ" would need to pull a miracle to win.Maybe I may too win the lottery jackpot... about the same probabilities.

Yeah, 8th in Assen was great progress indeed - IN LUCK.

3 guys way up front crash. Then another gets penalized for taking out another (also whom had passed Hayden). In sum, Hayden moved up 5 positions without passing chit.

no doubt stoner has the measure of the duke compared to other riders, it would be good to see other duke riders up at the front. Has the yams improved their power to that of the dukes.
