MOTOGP » Hayden: No acceleration - not cool

Nicky Hayden didn’t have anything like the start he had hoped for to his first home grand prix as a Ducati rider, finishing just 14th out of 17 riders in Friday practice at Laguna Seca.

so far, more of the same. Unlike during the race, for qualifying nobody gets a DNF to move up positions.

Maybe tomorrow... but again, IF Hayden does not do any better here, it is unlikly Hayden will do any better during the rest of the season..though never know...

Dont think Hayden will move up one or 2 positions from qualifying unless someone crashes, runs off, engine blows or gets penalized.

Seems yesterdays Hayden's optimistic smile is gone... As Edwards just sits confidentally

The 800's have never suited Nicky. Hes a superbike racer riding a cracked out 250GP bike. With the bikes getting smaller and faster i dont think he will do well with no 250 experience like the new up and coming riders.

He needs to leave MotoGP and go to WSBK which suites his riding style better. The 990's were his golden moment but that time has past.

Give Nicky Fabs Xerox ride and send Fab to Sterilgarda.

14th out of 17 riders for today's practice is disappointing.
Let's hope for a vast improvement for Saturday.
It's not good to see Hayden so far back on his 'home' track in front of his home crowd.
C'mon Nicky, let's get the full gas going here.

"We're near the back again so that's not cool"

WE did I hear WE. Last I checked Casey Stoner was up front. Yeah blame the bike. He had enough of blaming at the HONDA now its the Bike AGAIN.

Nicky Hayden for the Win At Laguna Seca. LOL ROFLMAO

Hey RawDawg where are you. Your boy needs help. Maybe you can share your expert advice with him.

Last I checked with the DUCATI Dealership They are fully stocked with #69 Livery and no Buyers. While the Yamaha R1's were all sold out.

Did you even read the article? Thought not! Do you honestly think Nicky writes the code and then walks out to the bike to upload the latest maps, or spins the wrenches on the bike to change suspension settings or tires? It is a team sport I think thats why they call them... Wait for it! Wait for it... "TEAMS"! When things aren't working, you win or lose as a team!

there's nothing wrong with hayden. it is the ducati.
i just think that ducati doesn't do enough for hayden.
it was just the same for marco melandri. and now its nicky's turn.

DUCATI has 1 winning rider and 1 for show.

when marco told ducati that he couldnt ride the desmosedici as he wanted, Ducati told melandri to go in therapy.

so what will ducati do? lose hayden like melandri or will they try to adapt the bike to hayden's ridingstyle. and may he stay another year?

A real shame Nicky is not getting up to speed on the Ducati, he is a great rider and a real shame he has this after the unhappy experiences with the cosy Puig/Pedrobot setup at Honda.

Again Hayden fans (& to a lesser extent Hayden himself) predictably the excuse generator at full swing with true and trusted excuses.... "The bike is made for Stoner" "the Ducati is a POS" "only stoner can ride it" "Hayden can't adapt to the 800s" "ducati does not care about Hayden" "there is a conspiracy against Hayden"... "Hayden's Handlebars come lose" "chutch not working" "Hayden said his bike has no power"

Please plug in your excuse.

Ducati should have taken Tony elias instead hayden for this season . Im sure all the riders will scream and run away from ducati after this season if they invite anybody. They don't want to be another ducati scapegoat...
