Well done dani !!! I thought you rode a fantastic race and surprised everyone. And as for the whole thing of Dani doesnt show emotions, did you see the great big smile on his face and holdin back the tears on the podium. Hats off to you Dani, cant wait til the next race.

MOTOGP » Pedrosa: I didn’t think Rossi was so close

Dani Pedrosa beat the MotoGP title contenders to claim Honda’s first race win for over a year at Laguna Seca on Sunday, but it was almost taken away from him at the very final turn.

This was a WTF race....didn't see any of it coming:
WTF!?! Where the hell did Pedrosa get those qualifying lap times for the race.
WTF!?! How is Stoner hangin in for as long as he did?
WTF!?! Haydon is in what place???
WTF!?! Dovi down again and lookin like "WTF!?! where's my bike?"
WTF!?! Is Lorenzo a machine or a madman? How can he push Rossi like that in that state!?! WTF?!?!?! Trying to pass on turn 11...once is risky enough on Stoner!!
WTF!?! How did Rossi get so close to Pedrosa in the last lap?!?! WTF!?! Didn't Rossi learn not to try and pass on turn 11?!?!?!
WTF!?! How many riders ended crossing the line?!?!
That was one great WTF race & a great surprise. Glad no one was hurt either

Now that Pedrosa is back I see him snatching 3rd from Stoner by the end of the season as Stoner and his mono slip back in the points. Dani will now be able to consistently steel points from the top 3 to spread them out in the standings a bit more while clawing back points for himself. I predict Dani will be a major deciding factor in the outcome of the Championship...that wild card factor!

That was an interesting race to watch.
It was Dani's plan to allow Rossi to get a wheel up there and take a peek just to scare the crap out of his team. It was simply a cardiac test for Dani's paddock.

rossi is responsible enough to abort that pass on the final turn as he will definitely touch dani in the process, that attempted pass is too risky unlike the one he made with lorenzo last in spain.

Let's face it: Rossi should have won this one. He was a clear favourite for the race but just couldn't ride the pace he wanted. He came pretty close in the end and that would have put him five points further away from Lorenzo. Five very valuable points.
In a pre race interview Rossi stated that Pedrosa could be instrumenal in the world championship this year, not as a contender for the title maybe but as someone who has the pace of the front runner and takes points away from Rossi, Lorenzo and Stoner.

Fabulous race though by Pedrosa, flawless :)

CONGRATULATIONS to Dani! He rode a perfect race and really surprised me. While Dani looked to be in a perfect shape for the whole distance, Valentino seemed to be struggling in the first half. When the gap was up to over three seconds, the top spot more or less dissapeard in the distance for Vale. However, it was very strange to see how fast he got back to Dani in the second half of the last lap. Again, one could see his vast experience when Vale actually aborted the dicisive move in the last corner which would have very likely caused a contact. I can see Toni Elias (for example) absolutely go for it and getting down himself and Pedrosa. Well done also to Nicky Hayden. :)

Had Dani down for a podium, very pleased. The Honda is strong this year but too much bad luck for them.
The Yamaha is looking better than I thought at the start of the season. It seemed that they were having front end probs, but the new TC system is looking good.
Casey is still a contender, Dani an outside chance: Valentino is looking the goods, he really has pulled one out of the bag this year but anything can happen,
not to forget Jorge!

Kind regards

Ricky
