James, jumping the start is a rule with consequences, and your judgement and knowledge of the occurrence are not required for it to be enforced. You are also required to see all the flags and know what they mean. You appear a truly arrogant fellow, and also a genius. And your boss tried to let you off easy, saying you learned a lesson as if it were excusable the "first time", when it was a lesson any fool knows before he ever gets on a racetrack the first time in his life! Sheesh, James, you're a pro in the big leagues -- act like one, even if you can't ride like one yet!!!

Not saying James should be let off the hook but I think the jump start rule should be changed. Just for a small advantage it wrecks your entire race, I think if you jump the start and once you have received the confirmation all you should have to do is let all the other riders past and then continue racing. This would obviously hurt someone more on the front row then 5th row but at least the entire race wouldn't be a washout.
