Grizz, are you ******* serious about Hayden????. That title last year was about luck and being in the right place at the right time, nothing else. Valentino hasn't had the best equipment over the past couple of years, but even if the Yamaha was top notch he still wouldn't have won the title. Stoner has displayed the true way to be champ, dominate the season, not just ride around collecting a win or 2 then just ride for points like Hayden...... When Rossi won 5 in row, which he dominated, no-one said a peep.......... when the shoe is on the other foot, the Jap manufacturers, Michelin and riders scream blue murder. Get over it. Casey has smashed everyone this year, and deserves his accolades.

If you looke at the history of this guy (Stoner) then you must come to the conclusion that he has a lot of talent and guts. If he wasn't fallen in P.I. 2005 he was maybe the W.C. instead of Pedrosa but that is a big IF. Also when you looked to 2006 he was very quick on a number of tracks on a B machine. Despite all his falls he was no.6 in the championship. The guy has a lot of potential and he will be in front again next year fighting with Vale, mark my words..

stoner´s talent shows in small things- like being fastest in the first practice session at laguna seca 2006 having never seen the notoriously difficult circuit. also getting pole in his second motogp race after having the flu. it´s only in 2007 that his head has actually matched his riding talent

Congratulations Casey!!! Well done mate.
Also congratulations to Ducati for a fantastic year and to Capirossi for the 2nd at the Island. It took a while for a European brand to get the championship. Congratulations to Bridgestone as well after being the underdog for so long. It shows that if you work hard you get rewards.
Casey's speed and pace at the Island was awesome and he backed up his statement that he would have been 1 sec faster in qualifying if it was not for traffic. I was used to watch Rossi and Biaggi do this sort of pace usually.
Come to think of it what Casey should have done is back off the pace and play with the other riders before making a run in about 5 laps to go. :)
