Kees you saying about Hayden popping over to D'Antin for a reliable ride???? Chaz Davies spent most of the qualifying in the pits while his bike was being repaired and also packed up on him in the race lol!!!

Wasn't Nicky using the new fairing that it has taken Honda 9 months to make to keep his body out of the slip stream this now maybe part of another problem???
WAYNE, I believe that the variation in top speeds may have been caused by wind gusts, the wind was WNW so if it was swinging this could the effect top speeds in a big way and to the same bike.

If the Honda motor didn't fail him when it did, surely the Michelins would have kept him off the top of the box. That's a certainty.

I disagree with you Grim. He crashed only once I think (could be wrong)in the rain of his own doing. The other incidents were caused by other riders with no escape. Two engine failures (at least) from HRC is ridiculous. Rossi fans were furious last year when he had two engines grenade.

Surely you can understand Hayden's frustration with this season. Off of the top of my head I can think of several instances where he had a decent shot only to have it crumble. His bad luck this year has certainly eclipsed his good luck last year and is starting to border on unbelieveable. Fortunately he is not a quitter and isn't blaming anyone. I think he has done better than Repsol's wonderboy Pedrosa.

Did you see the slides Hayden was getting coming into that left hander as they crested the hill then dropped down? He made no mention of his tire going off, so we don't know if it was failing or not. I agree that his Michelins were going to fall off like the rest but it would have been interesting. I'm sure the results will fire up the spec tire arguments again. Personally I wish they would scrap the traction control, detune the bikes to reasonable levels so nobody kills themself and have at it. Let's see how they stack up then. High cornering speeds are great but make for boring television. The slides are where the real entertainment is.

I loved it mid race I guess just before his bike died when he came out of a corner, jerked a wheelie, put it down when he was already leaning into the next corner and never skipped a beat. Last year I had no faith in Hayden, he's a whole new beast now. Next year will be a very interesting year to see how things pan out for him.

Yes Nicky is last years champ but how can he be underperforming when he is riding a bike that has been designed for his team mate who is a great deal shorter than him. The only peolpe under performing are Honda. Even last year they gave the lead bike to Pedrosa and Nicky had to make do with a botch up.

I too think Nicky should see about a change of team, but then maybe this is Hondas plan.

sorry lisa i have to disagree,
yes hayden's bike is different to pedrosa's but its not un-ridable and he has proved this himself by having some good results, for example he was trashing pedrosa in the last race until his bike probs. it's just that the competition is greater this season and the honda's are not so dominant and life's just aint so easy for the kentukey kid!

No Steve you misread my original message.

Last year Nicky's bike was different, this year he is riding a bike designed specifically for Pedrosa.
