How can a guy whos won 7 world titles, broke so many records came 2nd in the championship when the bike and or tires havnt been as competitive be ordinary? Every rider has commented that when they have been behind Rossi he looks like he is workin the bike and himself so hard to make what is a rubbish bike so competitive where is Colin and most of the other guys on mich's rubber? Too many people r talkin as if Rossi is past it, a has been. He still has World champs in him. He might win the title next year and everyone will remember just how good he really is, afterall a true champ is able to go through the bad times and still have the skill and passion to win at what they love to do the best.

this might upset a few people, but all i hear of certain people is rossi has always had the "A TYRE" and that's why he has had so much success, well today a lot of the lap times dropped right off suddenley like melandri, capirossi had weird lap times slow then fast whereas stoner was able to set a blistering pace all race until he knocked it off towards the end, many could see stoner as having the "A TYRE" out of the bridgestone runners

It's on purpose reece, Rossi get's heaps of bad press lately,
of people wanting him out. Easy to kick a man when he's down.
He's probably heard so much bull**** in his life about himself that he's just laughing

guy - the main problem according to the riders seems to be the engine, or lack of it ... that snot up to them but to the engineers, it snot a too harsh delivery, it seems to be that there is just not enough hpower all along the curve ...
i think rossi has proved to be the best developer out there, and colin,m a great tyre tester ... sure i think colin is off the pace for various reasons, but vale .. i mean he 2ndd in the chship on a bike no one wants!!

What a rubbish article! Why don't you guys ask Rossi & Stoner to swap their bikes? Then you would see who's gonna put the track on fire!! Winning with Bike advantage is nothing great, even a Texas street teen would win. I am NOT saying Stoner is not talented. But he lacks discipline, a loud mouth, no respect for World Champions like Rossi. Even Augostini or Doohan take Rossi's name with respect. What do Stoner think of himself? Wait for 2008, you gonna see more excitement. Rossi + Lorenzo gonna rock everyone on the track! Stoner will not open his lousy mouth again....

Boo Hoo...poor Rossi. He'll do this, he'll do that, he'll pull angels out of his backside and race in WRC, F1 and GP next year.
EVERY rider knows you're only as good as your last race and apart from a few (very few) moments this season the great God almighty Rossi has looked mediocre. He's been beaten by the package of rider, bike and tyres (In THAT order). The Rossi fanboy adulation to the exemption of all others is a bit sickening. He was the greatest rider of his era, but HIS era is coming to an end.
Everyone here either forgets or is unaware of the one fact - ROSSI HAD THE OFFER OF THE VERY PACKAGE THAT CASEY WHUPPED HIM WITH THIS YEAR...he turned it down! Silly boy!! :D

Ah Rossi fans so sad!!!
Cannot accept not really god now no longer with bike + tyre advantage like always.
Rossi fans are like chelsea fans. Few years past, no chelsea fans. But with lots of money and wins then suddenly everyone chelsea fan!
You just the same - hanging on for reflected glory. Not true race fans.

Scooter - one doesn't need to say that. It has to come from inside! Something is wrong with Stoner, a typical Australian loud mouth mentality. They are like that, example sledging in Cricket, always loud & racist mouths!! Stoner should learn from Pedrosa (staying calm and decent).

God - am not a fan boy, it's your silly usage! I was talking about behavior. Had someone did the same (loud mouthing) with Senna, you know what would have happened. Excuse me, it's NOT he was, he is still the greatest. Please go & ask your Doohan!

Grim - I guess you don't know the meaning of Fans! I believe Rossi fans are not like Chameleons. I love people like Senna, Rossi, etc - best of the best!
