I am a huge Rossi fan, but I dont care who wins at the weekend - just as long as its a close exciting race (he'd better win at Valencia tho, because Im going ).

Face it - there have only been 4 this season - mugello, catalunya, assen and estoril. I really miss the battles beween gibernau, biaggi, capirex and rossi - 2005 was an excellent championship!!

I seriously doubt Stoner has to try that hard tho'. His bike has been awesome this year!

You are spot on djh....all he has to do is twist the throttle and the bike has done the rest.....I hear Ducati is working on electronics that will do that for him as well..so next year will be a doddle. Stoner won't even have to leave the motorhome to win the championship.

According to Dave & others, Ducati is so technically advanced compared with the other manufacturers that the bike rides itself! All this from a firm that only makes 40,000 bikes per year rather than the millions that Honda and Yamaha make!
They must also be wizards with electronics too - hang on, they use the same Magneti Marelli fuel injection, Marvel 4 ECU, and differential EPROM mapping systems that Yamaha (& others) use.
How can this be (more sarcasm dripping off the page Dave)

I guess all the nay-sayers are right, Stoner's bike has been so superior this year - it cant possibly be the kid's riding ... gotta be the tires and bike did it all for him.

I mean will you just look at the facts, 2nd and 3rd places in the championship are on Michelin rubber. Where's Loris in the championship?

The Ducati was a good bike ever since last year. How else would you justify Bayliss winning last years race witout ever setting foot on the bike. The bike needed a good rider to ride it, that is all. And this bike suits Stoner's riding style, and he does push it to the limit. Capirex would have won more races last year if he did not have to sit out so many races due to that crash with Gibernau.
I am sure that during the preseason testing and development Honda, Yamaha, Rossi, Pedrosa, Haydan, Melandri and others were fast a sleep. That must be it, why else would they let some guy called Stoner on some Ducati beat them, and beat them good. That must be it, they all just took a long break.
