just one thing, people say when rossi win's its down to him and when he loses its down to the bike or tyres.

ask urself this...who else, other than rossi, has won on a yamaha since he joined them in 2004?

it's not as if they've had bad riders, checa was good at yamaha, melandri couldnt get on with the yamaha and edwards...well you dont get 2 wsbk championships by being lucky.

Like we all say, i'd love to see stoner do a season on the yamaha with the tyres rossi has been using, just to see how he'd react and what he would say and how he would finish.

I really dont think the yamaha is a good bike, i bet rossi could do the same or better if he was giving a suzuki or a kawasaki.

Valentino Rossi is reportedly 95 per cent certain that he'll drive a Prodrive-run Subaru Impreza WRC car in the Rally of Great Britain.

Hope he stays with MotoGP, it would be a less exciting event without him!!

Where would be go after Yamaha?? Would he want Ducati or would they want him? Perhaps Suzuki!

Good Luck with rally tho - hope he gets it together for the entry date !

Rossi in WRC seems more than a possibility if the 2008 Yamaha costs him his 3rd lost Moto GP championship. (Emphasis on the bike costing him these championships - not the rider).

If Ducati engineering dominates again next year, perhaps the outlook for Rossi in Moto GP really does looks bleak. With Marcus Gronholm retiring, he's only up against (maybe) 4 times champion Sebastian Loeb as a 'god' figure in WRC as he is in Moto GP. I don't think anyone who supports Rossi would see it possible for him to beat Sebastian Loeb, but what if he could?

Few people like Hayden can pull off a Moto GP title withonly 3 wins & 4 fastest laps under his belt. Rossi is realising this to his cost.

Just read in Motor Cycle News that if Yamaha dont have it together in '08, Vale'll go to another manufacturer and stay in MotoGP :). Its also looking likely that he'll be on bridgestone rubber in '08! No single tyre rule too :)

Well if he did go to another team than Yamaha, they could expect the same rubbish.
When he wins, its all down to his brilliance.
When he loses, the bike or tyres are crap, not him.
I certainly hope someone like Ducati isnt tempted to hire him - they certainly dont need that prima donna.

MotoGPman,
The real question is if Rossi was riding Stoners bike and had dominated this year as Stoner has - would it be the bike that has won? Would it be the tyres that gave the advantage? Would control tyres be being considered? Would Loris's bad results have proved just what a legend Rossi is?

What if Stoner was on the Yamaha and achieved the same result as he has on the Duke - would it be the advantage the Yamaha has had because of course Rossi developed it into the bike it is and Stoner just lucked out by getting the best bike?

No matter what Stoner does Rossi fans will never except that it was Stoner who produced the results and Rossi who failed to produce results.

Val, please go to rally car. you can drive around in your subaru with your claudia schiffer blow up doll and be a clown all you want there. frankly, i'm tired of seeing you in motogp. i'm glad other people have won the title for the last two years.

Rossi will not win another championship - the new guard is here, and if Stoner doesn't repeat the business Pedrosa, Melandri or Lorenzo will, all good things come to pass.
