I'm sick of reading this, race after race. It's like giving Roger Federer a baseball bat and expecting him to win Wimbledon.

Agreed, I wish Rossi would give Yamaha 'the elbow' and move to pastures new.
Rossi, has more than earned his schekels by bring the earlier success to Yamaha, it time to move on now.

It's only first practice. Don't get too worried by this unles it's the same story saturday afternoon.
I need Valentino to do a good job otherwise all I will be reading monday is "Vale can do it , the bike cant!" When what I need to read is "Vale could do it, Caseys a Cahnt!"
I dont think myself or others could deal with an Inquest into Yamaha's failures as most here would rather read some good ol' banter between "Vale Posse" and the "others"

Oh dear, that doesn't look too good for Rossi or Edwards.
Dangerboy, I think you're right. Honda and Pedrosa are going to be right up there next year. Unfortunately I can see Rossi and Yamaha slipping further behind Honda and Ducati

If the Yamaha is so bad, how come Guintoli managed to get the Tech3 Yamaha up to 7th? Sure, he may have used a qualifier or soft race tyre, but he's ahead of both Suzuki's, three Ducati's, both works Yamaha's, the 2006 world champion, and a host of Honda's.
A little while ago, the Rossi groupies were all over Michelin as their excuse for Rossi poor performance. Pedrosa seems to be doing OK with them, so now the focus moves to Yamaha?
Yamaha are no mugs - they have won vast numbers of GP's over the years, second only to Honda.
Face facts - Edwards lost the plot ages ago, and Rossi seems to be joining him.

Would senna ever have forgotten how to drive, or Shumacher. Or Tiger how to hit a golf ball, or Federer how to play tennis? I think not.
Whatevers wrong with the Rossi package, it's most deffinatly not Vale.
I'd love to see every one on the same track with the same tyres & bikes, and all on the same settings. There'd only be one winner, without a doubt. A few riders, Hopkins in particular, have publicly stated that when behind Rossi you can see he's riding harder than ever, and having to force the bike to do what he wants/needs it to do, and it just doesn't work..... Yam owe him a decent bike next year, he & JB showed them what was required, now they've rested on their laurels & suffered
