I'm sick of reading this, race after race. It's like giving Roger Federer a baseball bat and expecting him to win Wimbledon.

to Clyde , it seems you know a lot about motorsports ;)
so you have to know that it's not one thing that makes it happen but the whole package , certainly in Proto-racing , and you have to admit Yam is not good this year ,off course Rossi is part of the package but a 5-time champ who proved his talent and in my eyes has nothing left to prove , is not complaining but just numbering facts.

by the way i'm tired to read comments like yours , that are saying Rossi fans are groupies ( there might be ) , people "love" that guy because he's a funny guy with an enormous talent, and like it or not ,he is The man who made MotoGP a mainstream sport .

It's pretty clear at this point, the Yam/Michelin combo is among the weakest in the series right now (after Tech3 and KR of course). Rossi is like a measuring stick; fast and consistent. If they're that far down the field it's the equipment lacking, not Rossi suddenly forgetting how to ride a motorbike, c'mon people! If you're not a Rossi fan, fine. To say he's suddenly lost the ability to push a bike to its' limits lap after lap is just talking silly.

So the rider who came third only five days ago, first michelin runner home and one of only two riders in the top five not on a Ducati and is second in the championship, is past it?

Clyde, the "vast" number of races won by Yamaha in the last four years have ALL been won by Rossi.

Get real

Not quite as much rossi-bashing as i thought on this topic quite restrained really only one embarrassing comment really.

Poor workmen who blame their tools.

god that must have taken ages to formulate that reasoned argument otto.
Its obvious to anyone with half a brain that the yamaha/michelin package is completely tonto at the moment.I wouldnt mind betting that burgess and rossi have given up trying to get yamaha into pulling their finger out and are indeed looking at pastures new as stated above...im not a massive rossi fan i just think that its been shameful how people have started biting chunks out of a fantastic ex-worldchampion who has never shown anything but respect for the sport.

Where to lay the blame? It's a team sport remember. The rider fanboys are laying the blame where they can. I think Team Yamaha are falling down in a number of areas to be failing this miserably. As for those deriding team members for wanting the best tyres engine ect... Remember this isn't tennis the best team wins not the best individual with a racket. Rossi knows he cannot compete on poor machinery as does stoner. These guys are the best riders but only when coupled with a team and bike and tyres they can work with. I'm big fan of Rossi but I'm enjoying watching the Japenese manufacturers being schooled by ducati and Stoner on bike design.

I have to agree with layton keske, you dont just forget to ride a bike, some people on this forum post **** & obviously don't engage the brain before they speak.

As for the bike i used to think the bike was a pretty decent machine but it seems that Yamaha are just not making a decent bike, we know the tyres are not so bad as Dani is up there at the front, what baffles me is how the **** have they managed to screw it up.

I know Yamaha are working hard but they are obviously going in the wrong direction, I hope were not going to see yet another year next year with a below par Yamaha.

Lets do a reality check !!! The only interesting races this season are the once in which Rossi had a competitive bike. I am not saying Rossi should win all races or championships, but i can assure you that when he is ON.. the thrill is Aamaaazing :).

And i am saying this on behalf of all you fantastic Motogp fans, who love this sport for the sole reason 'EXCITEMENT'. Lets hope that comes back soon in Motogp..:(

Interesting that everyone thinks that Rossi is the best "development rider" out there, yet the bike that he has obviously been the developer on for several years now is worse than ever. And he blames the bike. Curiouser and curiouser.

I have to question 2 things. Rossi is supposed to be a one of the best at setting up a bike and talking to his engineers. This was proved when he made the switch from Honda to Yamaha. I cant understand what the difference has been the past 2 seasons. All we have heard is how brilliant he was, now we hear excuses from the fanboys, with NFI.

2nd is Rossi totally dedicated to Motogp and getting the Yamaha issue sorted? Seems to me that Rossi has his mind on doing the rally of GB. You would think with the bike performing so poorly, he would be putting all his efforts into testing and sorting the issues and not wandering off to do a rally or 2.

Yep it's the bike and not the rider ;)

Clyde asks ''If the Yamaha is so bad, how come Guintoli managed to get the Tech3 Yamaha up to 7th?''.

The answer to this question is because Guintoli is on DUNLOP tyres that Rossi/Edwards do not use.

I would have thought any 'fan' of Moto-GP would be aware of this after an entire season comes to and end? :p
