Great that Rossi is on Bridgestones next year. What will the Rossi apologists have to complain about now when he loses? Oh of course, there's still the bike they can blame. Or Jeremy Burgess.

If Rossi and Stoner were both on a Ducati, both with the same bike and tyres, they would complain that Stoner was being given better parts!

If Rossi was riding a bike down the road with Stoner as pillion, and the bike crashed, they would blame Stoner.

I have been watching GP/Moto GP since Barry Sheene and I guarantee that if you put Rossi and Stoner on the same bike/tyres Rossi would walk it. The Ducati was overtaking Honda/Yamaha on sheer horsepower on the first part of the straights at the beginning of the season and Bridgestones have been in a class of their own.
Consequently the racing this season has been a procession and as dull as dishwater. Stoner has ridden superbly and faultlessly all season and fully deserves his championship. But you cannot argue with 7 world championships, whether you like him or not Rossi is a riding God.
Lets hope 2008 is a lot closer and Rossi and Stoners teamates will be pushing them all the way as wel

Moto GP needs all the bikes on the grid it can get, to loose Team Roberts would be bad for the sport. They have not had any upgrades from Honda, who struggled badly at the start of the season. Their performance in 2006 when KR Jnr got the 990 onto the front row suggests the chassis building is first rate. KR Jnr was at the end of his career and his record, with Suzuki as well, suggests that when the bike is less than 100% his performance drops. Kurtis doesn't have a pedigree in any top class branch of the sport and the team needs two bikes to speed development and competion within the team. They are a Michelin team, would they get Ducati engines without Bridgestone tyres?

I like the fact that my 'Erm, JT and Colin Edwards? tech 3?' comment was deleted and the article changed!

Rossi on Bridgstones? At least the factor of getting the tires up to tempurature should'nt be a facter any more.Yamaha also needs to make a major leap in engine performance.Rossi has'nt forgotten how to launch a bike off the line after all these years. But there is only so much you can do when your bike is so deficient when it comes to acceleration and top speed.Should be a much better year,as all the manufacturers will close the gap on Ducati.

Actually, when you look at it, a pretty lame field all-in-all. Only four riders having gained 5 or more race wins.
No wonder the racing is getting processional - a very small group at the sharp end and the remainder either no-hopers or rookies.
WSB remains the much more interesting and competitive class.
