No one probably enjoys being in MotoGP more than Colin Edwards.
Top team, good atmosphere, good payment.
He summed it up nicely himself: 'I get to ride with the best rider in the world and can look into his data anytime I wish'.
One more year in Tech 3, maybe even two, then retire.
Pity he didn't win a race (though being close at Assen and Laguna),
but hey, can you really complain after a career like that?

Edwards had highlights???
How did Edwards manage to keep his place in that team? He should have been fire years ago. Wonder what odds I could get on predicting how many times he gets lapped next year or predict his excuses.

Colin didn't do himself any favors rolling over for Vale every single time #46 was behind him. Go back to Turkey this year and watch Vale run off in the 5th gear right hander and Colin breaks way early to help his teammate for a perfect example. This caused a lovely crash. The Nicky Hayden comment above is rubbish, by the way

I think Colin has done OK and I'm not a fan! The bike is a R1 made to handle like a TZ 250. He will be paid enough to get used to it, but he has not. I think at the other Yamaha team he will be allowed to set it up like a superbike and do better
You cannot win WSBK championships and be rubbish

My fave Colin moment was when he was leading Nicky into the last corner at Assen,
then proceeded to bin it! HAHAHA! Classic moment & sums of Colin's entire MotoGp
career in a nutshell!

Colin stayed as long as he did because he shouldered the majority of the Yamaha / Michelin testing burden plus Rossi always wanted a team mate who was #2 riding shotgun and not challenging him.
The worst thing was Colin was prepared to accept this just to stay around which proves a total lack of ambition.
Lorenzo will be a very different animal.

Colin should study Assen race 2 from this year WSBK,
and see how one can make a proper move at the last chicane!!
I don't see how he ever going to win at the MotoGP now, the man is too "safe".
But maybe when he have Toseland as his team mate his motivation to try more will
increase. Other wise I think that James is more willing to over ride the bike
if the bike is not perfect.
I think Hayden still have some wins in him.
